Paul Barrington PGA Professional

At the age of 16 years, Paul was playing off scratch and within 12 months had decided that his love for the game would inevitably turn this into his career. He turned professional at 18, qualifying as a PGA Professional on his 20th birthday and became the assistant to the late Terry Murray at Weston-Super-Mare Golf Club. He was appointed to Head Professional at Weston-Super-Mare in 1990 and then moved to The Kendleshire GC as Head Professional in 1997 and later held the position of Director of Golf at The Players Club in Bristol from 2002 - 2009.

Paul has coached at all levels at traditional golf clubs for over 20 years but realised the benefits of coaching and practice using a golf simulator and as one of the owners of ‘inPlay Golf, he was at the forefront of setting up the business in 2014.

Paul is also known for his long driving abilities as won 3 indoor Long Driving National Championships and was twice awarded the title of British Long Drive Champion. On two occasions he represented the UK, reaching the Q-Finals in the World Long Drive Finals in Mesquite, Nevada, finally retiring from competitive long driving in 2005.

As well as his ability to drive the ball an incredibly long distance, Paul has always had a talent for entertaining crowds so travels the world performing his Golf Trick Show and is a former World Trick Shot Champion.
